I've always wanted to be the kind of person who knows what to say. Who is articulate, accurate, eloquent. This past weekend I was surrounded with (mostly) women who know how to use words. To tell a story, convey a thought, evoke an emotion, make a point, offer comfort.
One of these amazing woman, a friend, has suffered the most devastating, heartbreaking loss. And I wish that I had the right words to say.
But all I can think is that I wish I could hold her hand, hug her, offer her my presence, my touch.
Because sometimes there are no words.
You know, I've only visited Vicki's site a few times. Rarely, if ever, commented. But I personally feel a loss. I just couldn't even imagine what they are feeling.

I just can't imagine. And it is hard to find the words for something like that.

She continues to be in my thoughts and prayers.

Yes. I'm heartbroken. I don't know what else to say.

i just went over there, but not knowing her, and the fact that she didn't say what happened, led me to think i shouldn't write a comment.
i'm sorry, though, about whatever happened.

No, sometimes there are no words. But she knows. Trust me. She knows.
